University Enterprise Training Partnership of the Region of Murcia - FUERM (ES)


The University Enterprise Training Partnership of the Region of Murcia (Spain) was created in 1988 by the University of Murcia; the Region of Murcia’s Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Navigation; the business association CROEM; the Regional Development Agency INFO; the saving banks Caja de Ahorros del Mediterráneo and Cajamurcia; and a large number of companies acting individually. Shortly afterwards, the Polytechnic University of Cartagena was added to the list when it was separated from the University of Murcia.

It has the primary objective of encouraging communication, dialogue and joint activity between the University and business in order to promote and carry out all sorts of projects, studies and research of interest to both parties and contribute to the growth and development of the Region of Murcia.

 The activities implemented by the Fundación can be divided in four main areas:

About region: 

The Region of Murcia is located in the South-East of Spain, on the Mediterranean coast. It has a population of 1.4 millions inhabitants and a total area of 11,313 km².

The city of Murcia is the capital of the Region. It has a population of more than 500,000 inhabitants and is one of Spain’s 7 most important cities.
